About Dr James Lees

Dr James Lees trained in psychiatry in Melbourne and the United States where he became board-certified in General and Child Psychiatry. On completion of training, he worked on the staff at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, before being appointed as Director of Psychiatry.

On return to Melbourne, Dr Lees held appointments at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne, Queen Victoria Medical Centre, Prince Henry’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He also taught in the Monash University Masters of Psychological Medicine program.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Lees has maintained an active Private Practice in the St Kilda Road area for more than four decades.
