Patients

You can request an appointment by filling out the online form, or email or phone us.

  1. A referral from your GP
  2. Primary and secondary school reports, if available
  3. Psychological testing reports, if available
  4. A letter from someone who knew you in childhood outlining learning, social and behavioural matters

The appointment is intended to be sixty minutes in duration, but it would be wise to allow for more time, as the complexity to be dealt with can’t easily be anticipated.

In some instances, a second appointment may be required. This will incur a standard psychiatric consultation fee, which will be discussed with you.

We will send a detailed management plan with clear guidelines regarding treatment to you and your GP. Your GP will provide you with ongoing support, and opportunity for psychiatric reviews after 6 months.

If a different diagnosis is made, we will provide recommendations regarding comprehensive management such as specialist care that may need to be provided by an alternative psychiatrist, general practitioner and/or psychologist.

We do not offer bulk billing. Medicare will cover part of the consultation fee, however a gap fee will apply. The fee will be discussed with you and pre-approved before the appointment is made. Payment is required on the day of consultation by direct debit. You will be provided with a receipt so you can process the Medicare claim electronically.

Please note that we require 48 hours notice for cancellations. Any cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment or no-shows will incur a cancellation fee of the full cost of the Assessment. Please note that cancellation fees are not medicare rebateable.
